Writing a new future for university bound orphaned girls.
Let’s face it, the safety of women in India is not in their favor at this moment in time. In fact, India was recently ranked the #1 most dangerous country for women by Thomson Reuters Foundation. More than ever, an education will be key for these vulnerable girls that Project Left Behind supports.
Tender Loving Care orphanage in the city of Hyderabad is home to 20 girls ranging in age from 5 – 18. Their development has been nothing short of extraordinary with many of the girls on track to attend college! This was something unimaginable just years ago. And today we are launching a fundraiser so that they CAN attend college.
Currently, all of the girls’ needs have been taken care of by individual sponsorships and Project Left Behind (PLB). But with the drastic increased cost of higher education, more funding is needed to keep the young women on track for a bright future. Want to learn more about these girls?
