In late 2015 Katja, the founder and director of Wiñay Wasi, decided that owning and operating a bakery was a pathway to independence and self-sustainability for the physically disabled children living at Wiñay Wasi.  Six months later, with the help of a very generous donation from a supporter of Project Left Behind, Katja was able to purchase all the bakery equipment as well as a small building to start the business! The children will thoroughly enjoy the baking (and no doubt the sweet treats).  Are you interested in supporting this new venture with training, supplies, recipes?  Contact us!
